What?
Many Syrian children have taken pictures, associating themselves to Pokémon to grab the attention of "Pokémon go" frenzy world, of today.
Who?
The Revolutionary Forces of Syria Media Office shared these pictures showing Syrian children holding pictures of Pokémon like Pikachu, sqairtle etc..
How?
These pictures have a drawing of Pokémon on them, and then have sentences written below these Pokémon, asking the world to save or reach out to the Pokémon (name of the boy) who lives in this "particular village or city" in Syria.
One of the pictures has this written on it "I am in Kafrnabol in #Idlib countryside, come find me" according to an article in telegraph.
Saif Aldeen Tahhan a graphic designer has also converted the Pokémon go game screen, highlighting all that is now essential for Syrian people, with a logo "Syria go" on it.
Why?
This is because the situation in Syria has caused enormous amount of casualties, millions had to shift, both within and outside Syria to save themselves. Millions of children suffer without any basic necessities like food, medicine, shelter etc.. This initiative is to bring one biggest humanitarian crisis of our generation to the world's attention, so that more people will pitch in to help those in need.
