Saravanan is a senior resident in the department of General Medicine in AIIMS, Delhi. Originally from Tirupur he joined in his dream course in AIIMS after securing 47th rank in the entrance, but 10 days into his Pg, on July 10th, he was found dead under mysterious circumstances in his apartment in Delhi.
He was found lying on the bed with two syringes pierced into his right arm, police think it must be a case of suicide, and suspect that the syringes contain potassium chloride.
Saravanan's family and friends are not pleased with that conclusion. They say Saravanan is very normal and had no signs of depression. Saravanan who just landed into his dream course after years of preparation had no problems, financial or otherwise. he talked regularly with his family and friends, and is considered to have been very cheerful.
His brother also raises the question as to how Saravanan who is "right handed", could have pierced his arms with needles in the "right arm", he says that would be nearly impossible.
There are also no traces of vials found near the crime scene, or any signs of forced entry (the locks were intact), which would be apparent if the police had to break into Saravanan's room.
His family and friends are convinced that there is some kind of foul play involved. Many believe that it was a planned murder, and it was executed to get Saravanan's seat in AIIMS. His family has asked for CBI probe into his death. They fear the police are also somehow helping thr murderers, as there are so many oblivious inconsistencies in the investigation they have conducted. Saravanan's friends in Tamil nadu and alumnus of MMC, have started a social media campaign under the #justiceForSaravanan to make sure his case gets a CBI probe.
Share this post or the photo in the article, to get more medical students and people from the community involved, to ensure justice for one of our very own (medical community), from our state of Tamil Nadu.
