What?
BMW has partnered with two tech giants "Intel" and Israel based "Mobileye" to create driverless cars.
When?
BMW has promised these futuristic cars will be ready by "2021".
Why?
The deal came after an accident that killed a Tesla driver while using the car's autopilot. The car did not recognize a tractor trailer and plowed into it, raising questions about the safety limits of autonomous software.
Who?
Google, Toyoto, General Motors and many auto and tech companies are already investing billions in to building artificial intelligence for cars.
And so
These autonomous vehicles could impact safety, and prevent the millions of deaths every year on the roads.
If BMW delivers in five years we can see driverless cars floating around our highways, " who will you be honking to then? ".
